Applied Science (DJ Alkemy & Pun Ra) are inimitable in sound, blending influences such as Blues, Rock and Jazz with heavy Boom Bap flavour. Two albums deep and with a third on the way, if you’ve never heard their unique style before, then dive in right away.
Their debut album, “Booze, Blues & Hip-Hop” laid the groundwork for their off kilter style. The follow up album, “We and the Devil” gained widespread acclaim for it’s choice samples and non conformist attitude.
A number 4 pick on Wales Arts Review’s “Best Welsh music albums of all time” and featured in the editorial “Best Hip-Hop on Bandcamp” list at the time of it’s release, it helped them secure live support slots for Pharoah Monch as well as RA The Rugged Man and got them to the festival stage of Boomtown and beyond.
